This was a song I had written for a musical back in university - some credit has to go to James Lisle, who was the co-creator of the ill fated MANBEAR project - and a genius in his own right!
To set the scene: our hero Saul, the streetmeat vendor, is beseeching his lover Raebnam, the advisor to the mayor, to flee the city where war is being waged between humanity and the MANBEAR. He suggests they go north to Colpoy's Bay. Little does he know that Raebnam is a MANBEAR in disguise!!! The horror! The shock! What will happen next?! James, if you're out there...
lyrics
We may not always be in love
But even when we run out of things to speak of
You'll always be thought of
In a couple of years
The city will be dead
And if we stay we'll be dead too
If it takes all night
If it takes all day
Maybe I could get you
To look past the CN Tower and see Colpoy's Bay
