An early song that has always kind of stuck around on the back burner. A bit of a slow burn, this one. I had the idea to build it up with the final chorus vocals intentionally obscured as if I was getting a response during my hour of doubt and I missed it because I wouldn't stop shouting.
lyrics
I don't pretend to be fair
Cause what I've seen doesn't compare with You
I don't mean to fight
But some things just don't seem right
And sometimes I just don't believe
How can I give so much and not receive?
I believe in You
Now I won't say I wasn't scared
I should know, I was there
What You did, you know it doesn't compare
And I wasn't supposed to care
Now I don't, now I don't dare
And don't You tell me, I was there.
