I had this song with just a vocal and an acoustic guitar for a while. I sat on it because I knew I needed something different for it.

Enter my friend and French Horn saviour, Joe Sharp. Whenever he was available I always wanted him to come over to record some horns - it's just so rare, in my experience, to have someone that can lay down some real brass. It just sounds so much better than programmed brass. Couple that with the fact that he's such a wonderul, talented and inspiring man... and you've got gold!

I remember him coming over and us knocking this out pretty quickly. It was a wonderful moment where we recorded the whole thing live and then went back and forth with ideas for the additional overdubs of the french horn. It came to life before our very ears!

This song holds no mystery - that person that you just can't get out of your head and heart. In this case, my lovely wife.
